How to Get Involved

- Self-identify as a military spouse thtough the internal system (“Peopleworks”)
- Reach out to the RJ military spouse network to be added to our distribution list: militaryspousenetwork@raymondjames.com
- Participate in one of our quarterly “Meet and Connect” sessions
- Volunteer to participate in our “Military Spouse Ambassador” program to welcome new military spouses to the firm

Military Spouse Employment Partner (MSEP)
Valor supports the recruitment and hiring of talented military spouses and Veterans. This includes participating in hiring events, promoting open positions, training and supporting recruiters as they review and assess incoming resumes, and supporting Raymond James’ role in the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (“MSEP”) program. Meet Courtney Wallen: Chair Military Spouse Program (USMC Spouse)
Courtney is married to a Marine Col, and has embraced the challenges of building a career in the financial services industry while being the spouse of an active duty service member. Her husband has had multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan and different assignments have taken their family across the U.S and overseas to Africa. She is also a passionate advocate for military families, and was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by two administrations in recognition of her work providing financial counseling and education to Marines, Sailors, Veterans, and their families. She brings this passion to Valor, with a focus on supporting the hiring and retention of military spouses and Veterans. Courtney joined the Raymond James Compliance department in 2018. She serves as the Head of Raymond James’ Control Room and Compliance Officer
